Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
TL;DR: We practice what we preach. This site uses privacy-first analytics (Plausible) that doesn’t track you personally, doesn’t use cookies, and is fully GDPR compliant. We don’t sell your data. We don’t share it with advertisers.
Who We Are
Analytics Migration is a resource site helping businesses transition to privacy-first analytics solutions. Our website address is: https://analytics-migration.com
This site is operated by Daniel Eriksson, an independent analytics consultant based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Analytics We Use
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that:
- Does not use cookies — no consent banner needed
- Does not collect personal data — no IP addresses, no device fingerprinting
- Is fully GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant
- Stores data in the EU (Germany)
- Is open source — you can verify exactly what it does
We collect only aggregate, anonymous data: page views, referrer sources, country (not city), and device type. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies. We don’t set any cookies for analytics purposes.
The only cookies that may be set are:
- Essential WordPress cookies — only if you log in (admin users only)
- Session cookies — temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser
Data We Collect
Contact Form
If you contact us through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties.
Email Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter (when available), we collect your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Third-Party Services
We minimize the use of third-party services. Currently, we use:
- Plausible Analytics — privacy-first analytics (EU-hosted)
- Cloudflare — for security and performance (processes IP addresses for security purposes only)
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.
Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct any inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Object — object to processing of your data
Since we don’t collect personal data through analytics, there’s typically nothing to request. If you’ve contacted us via email or form, you can request deletion of that correspondence.
Data Retention
Analytics data is retained for 2 years in aggregate form (no personal data). Contact form submissions and emails are retained until you request deletion or for up to 3 years for business records purposes.
